Seth DeCroce is an award-winning copywriter and brand developer based in New York specializing in transmedia, branded entertainment and interactive advertising. Seth has consulted on a wide range of global brands, including Motorola, Mastercard, The State of New York, Adobe Systems, Wendy’s and sanofi-aventis. His expertise includes transmedia/cross-platform marketing, creative direction, narrative development, copywriting, naming and brand development.
Seth was the lead concept developer and copywriter for Motorola’s (PRODUCT) RED™ digital campaign aimed at eliminating AIDS in Africa. The initiative included a rich online hub educating consumers about the program, branded entertainment by international artists, and an interactive calculator illustrating where and how the proceeds were being put to use.
Seth currently serves as Principal at Hydrogen Media, a transmedia development agency specializing in multi-platform marketing and branded entertainment. In 2009, Hydrogen premiered Two Blue Wolves, a first-of-its-kind transmedia book by Sparrow Hall, and awareness campaign for the national Alzheimer’s Association. Part love story, part caregiver testimony, Two Blue Wolves is told across multiple platforms—including an e-book, audio book, music video, artwork and soundtrack developed by artists from around the world. 15% of the proceeds of every Two Blue Wolves purchase is being contributed to Alzheimer’s research and caregiver support.
Seth’s writing for the State of New York’s 2008 I Love NY brochure received statewide attention over various media outlets and continues to serve as the chief resource for travel information in the region. Other notable awards include “Best Branded Site” for MULTAQ/sanofi-aventis (2010 DTC Advertising Awards) and “Creative of the Week”/Young & Rubicam Brands for his work on Microsoft for IT Professionals.
